Trillium Borehole Broadband Seismometer

The Trillium Borehole Seismometer is a very broadband seismometer designed for cased borehole deployments. The instrument is housed in a stainless steel enclosure incorporating a hole-lock mechanism to allow the instrument to be coupled to a deep borehole casing. Instrument recovery is aided by a fail-safe holelock release mechanism that prevents jamming to the casement during removal.

An advanced levelling system allows the unit to operate over a tilt range of +/-5 degrees. The axis stack is mechanically levelled to ensure that the vertical axis does not couple horizontal noise.

SYSCAL Pro Switch

The SYSCAL Pro Switch units use segments (seg) of multi-core cable which are reversible and interchangeable.

For instance, the SYSCAL Pro Switch 48 with 10m spacing has 4 segments of cable a, b, c, d, with 12 electrodes each, for a total line length of 480m. The SYSCAL is placed in the middle of the line, between segments b and c. If the profile to measure is longer than the line length, a ROLL ALONG technique can be applied where, after a first set of readings with (a, b, c, d), segment a is placed after segment d to form a new (b, c, d, a) combination etc.

The Trillium Compact All-terrain Seismometer is an ultra-low power broadband seismometer specifically developed for deployments where long-term site stability is questionable, or where the ability to prepare a sensor footing is limited, such as volcanoes, ice fields, and glaciers. Incorporating a robust and reliable levelling gimbal that operates over a full 360° range, the Compact All-terrain will auto-level from all orientations ensuring continuous operation even in a constantly changing environment.

The EM16 VLF Receiver is the most widely used electromagnetic geophysical instrument of all time. Local tilt and ellipticity of VLF broadcasts are measured and resolved into inphase and quadrature components of VLF response. The EM16 has discovered several base and precious-metal ore bodies and many water-bearing fractures and faults.The EM16R Resistivity Attachment uses a pair of electrodes to measure the apparent resistivity of the earth. The combined EM16/16R instrument can detect a second earth layer if the layer occurs within the VLF skin-depth.
