The MiniTrase uses Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) to measure instantaneously the volumetric water content of soils and other moist media. A variety of connectors and waveguides for depth measurements ranging from 15 cm to 70 cm are available, and can be used in a portable manner or permanently installed for periodic moisture monitoring. The volumetric moisture content is displayed on the Android tablet, and the graph of the TDR pulse can also be tagged for identification and stored for later viewing and analysis on the tablet or a PC.

The 6005L2 Buriable Waveguide is designed to be installed permanently in the soil, and allows measurements to be made at any depth in the soil profile. The waveguide rods are 20 cm long and made of 1/8" (0.3 cm) diameter stainless steel rods. The Buriable Waveguide can also be used portably in light-duty applications and where space is limited. Extension cables of various lengths are available, allowing multiple waveguides to be connected and controlled from a central location.

The 2100F Soilmoisture Probe is a specialized unit designed for investigation of soil suction in small regimes such as near the soil surface, or for laboratory work such as measuring soil suction values at various levels in soil columns. The porous ceramic cup is 0.25" (6 mm) in diameter and 1" (2.5 cm) long and attaches to the tensiometer body via a 6 ft. (1.8 m) length of nylon tubing.

The 2900F1 Quick Draw Tensiometer is designed for portable field use. It responds quickly and equilibrates rapidly with the tension in the soil, providing measurements within a few minutes. The Soil Coring Tool is first used to core an access hole to the desired depth of measurement. The tensiometer is then inserted into the access hole and the ceramic sensing tip is placed in contact with the soil. The Null Knob can be used to reach equilibrium and provide a measurement more rapidly.
