Data acquisition systems support the collection and processing of data from Ground Conductivity Meters and Metal Detectors. Every data acquisition system includes all required components for data collection and processing including: a data acquisition unit; separate cables for data collection and data transfer; and software appropriate for both data collection and processing.All data acquisition systems require a digital input signal. A compatible digital output signal is a standard feature of the EM31-MK2 and EM38-MK2 Ground Conductivity Meters and all Metal Detectors; all other Ground Conductivity Meters require the real-time (RT) modification – to convert the output signal from analogue to digital – for compatibility with any data acquisition system.DAS70-AR : including a rugged field computer with 512 MB storage memory, the DAS70-AR provides an enhanced level of support for data collection, including the option to collect EM and GPS data simultaneously.The DAS70-AR Data Acquisition System is available as an option for any model of Ground Conductivity Meter that provides a digital output signal, and all models of EM61/-MK2 Metal Detectors; compatibility with first-generation EM61 instruments, specifically, requires the purchase of additional third party software.A complete DAS70-AR system includes an ultra-rugged waterproof Archer field computer, interface cables, and utility software with programming for data transfer and management. Software for instrument-specific data acquisition and processing is included with the purchase of the relevant instrument; optional third party applications, including real-time colour-scale mapping, can further increase in-field functionality.The Archer field computer provides several benefits for in-field operations including: a real-time graphic display of collected data; high capacity (512 MB) internal data storage; SD and CF card compatibility and rechargeable, long life Li-Ion batteries for extended survey time; and multiple input connections (1 x RS-232 serial; 1 x USB; Bluetooth) that support the simultaneous collection of EM and GPS data. An integrated sub-meter DGPS receiver is available as an option.For survey applications that include the use of multiple sensors (e.g. EM61-MK2) within an array configuration, the DAS70-ML Data Acquisition System, including a Panasonic Toughbook computer, supports simultaneous EM and GPS data collection through eight available input connections.
